Our Carbon Pagoda Tour CFL skis are synonymous with performance in backcountry skiing, which we have once again taken to a higher level. A recent novelty is the introduction of the 105 shape construction into our touring category. We tested these skis in the middle of winter in record-deep powder in the Wasatch region, on ice in the summer atop Mt. Hood and in notoriously changeable skiing conditions in New Zealand. When we started the research and development of these skis, we focused on our uncompromising requirements - durability, performance and sustainability. To achieve the highest values of these goals, we have developed a new unique carbon and flax laminate (CFL). This new construction reduces torsional vibration while maintaining our renowned carbon energy and long-term durability. This is a unique, high-performance laminate that shows the potential of incorporating flax plant fibers into our carbon construction. These skis are made with a new mix of materials. Checkerspot Algal sidewall technology (approx. 60% bio-based) and Entropy epoxy resin (approx. 25% bio-based) are the main stars of this technology.
