The brand new Carbon Pagoda Tour CFL 105 is the most versatile backcountry ski we've ever made. It has quickly become a favorite among our product team, and is the choice for most days on the slopes. In soft snow, the rocker and slight tapering of the tip allow quick ski movements, while the pintail helps the tips keep the ski high on the snow. When the routes are steep and narrow, the more central position and 18m radius allow for quick crux hop turns and build confidence when going down the slope. Touring functionality is just as important, and the square heel firmly holds the belt grip or serves as a last resort and rescue anchor in the snow.

Carbon Pagoda Tour CFL
Our Carbon Pagoda Tour CFL skis are synonymous with performance in backcountry skiing, which we have once again taken to a higher level. A recent novelty is the introduction of the 105 shape construction into our touring category. We tested these skis in the middle of winter in record-deep powder in the Wasatch region, on ice in the summer atop Mt. Hood and in notoriously changeable skiing conditions in New Zealand. When we started the research and development of these skis, we focused on our uncompromising requirements - durability, performance and sustainability. To achieve the highest values of these goals, we have developed a new unique carbon and flax laminate (CFL). This new construction reduces torsional vibration while maintaining our renowned carbon energy and long-term durability. This is a unique, high-performance laminate that shows the potential of incorporating flax plant fibers into our carbon construction. These skis are made with a new mix of materials. Checkerspot Algal sidewall technology (approx. 60% bio-based) and Entropy epoxy resin (approx. 25% bio-based) are the main stars of this technology. By choosing these materials, we support the growing industry of plant-based technologies and reduce our dependence on oil. It is another step towards better protection of nature and our beloved mountains.
